We got spearing the day before with our seine net so we decided to head out for fluke Saturday. Left the dock in Sea Bright around 8am and headed to Raritan Bay. We drifted a few areas around the fleet, with not much luck but a few shorts. I decided to take a ride to get away from the traffic which seemed to help. We had next to no drift but we still were able to manage some keepers and a ton of shorts.
Had the Yamello's on the boat today and boy did we produce some striped bass action!
My son and I Left the dock in sea bright at the crack of dawn. With One throw of the net we had our live well full. We Headed to the fishing grounds. Right away we got one striped bass in the boat and that was it. We repositioned ourself over some good marks and quickly produced really nice fish all ranged 36"-44" Ended with a total of 11 fish and all were released to swim another day. And of course Dominic with the high hook.
